Phimosis and Paraphimosis

Phimosis occurs when the foreskin becomes too tight to safely retract fully through the normal range of foreskin motion. Paraphimosis occurs when a person with phimosis tries to retract their foreskin and the foreskin becomes stuck on the shaft behind the glans, potentially cutting the supply of blood an lymph material. The latter is considered a medical energy due to the fact that the loss of blood or build-up of lymph tissue can lead to gangrene, nerve damage, or other serious medical conditions including death if left untreated.

How do I prevent paraphimosis occurring when I have phimosis?

You need to treat your phimosis effectively by using a combination of foreskin stretching cream to reduce or eliminate inflammation and the NOVOGLAN foreskin stretching balloon. You need to do this for two weeks or as long as possible to ensure you grow more foreskin cells and increase the circumference of your foreskin.

Only when you have grown additional foreskin cells by gently applying pressure over a wide area for as long as possible each day for at least two weeks, will you get a looser foreskin. Once the foreskin cells have grown and the foreskin is loose, you can start to retract your foreskin without risking paraphimosis.

Bottom Line on phimosis and paraphimosis:

– do not try and retract your tight foreskin until you have grown additional foreskin cells to make your foreskin looser. You can only do this by gentle, regular even pressure over the whole foreskin.
