Will I feel any pain when using Novoglan?
Use of the Novoglan Gentle Foreskin Stretcher is a virtualy pain free procedure which gentle stretches the foreskin. When used as directed, this Novoglan device will effectively provide long term relief from the pain and discomfort caused by phimosis.
What is Phimosis?
Phimosis is the medical term doctors use to describe a tight foreskin, which cannot be properly retracted from the glans (head) of the penis. Please visit our Phimosis page, for a more detailed description of the condition.
If I use the Novoglan Gentle Foreskin Stretcher™ for 14 days, will I be cured?
The majority of men with Phimosis who use the Novoglan GFS once a day for 14 days, experience a noticeably looser foreskin. As everybody is different, the treatment length and frequency may vary. Some men may need to use the Novoglan GFS twice a day or for longer than 14 days. If your foreskin is especially tight, you may benefit from using the Novoglan GFS in tandem with a topical steroid cream containing 0.05% active ingredient.
Will Phimosis recur after using the Gentle Foreskin Stretcher?
After using the Novoglan GFS, most men find long-term relief—their foreskin is permanently stretched. In rare cases, after stopping their use of the Novoglan GFS, some men experience slight re-tightening of the foreskin. If this happens to you, simply use the Novoglan GFS again.
How big does the foreskin opening need to be to use the Gentle Foreskin Stretcher?
The Novoglan GFS can fit through a foreskin opening as small as 2.5 mm. This means that it is suitable for almost all men.
Can I use a topical steroid cream with the Novoglan Gentle Foreskin Stretcher™?
Yes. In some cases of severe Phimosis, using the Novoglan GFS with a steroid cream containing 0.05% active ingredient may be more effective. You can buy such a product from your local pharmacy or drug store. In some countries, you may need a prescription. You can also use the Novoglan Gentle Foreskin Stretching Cream to enhance your stretching with the Novoglan device. Go to https://store.novoglan.com/novoglan-gentle-foreskin-stretching-cream-30ml/ for more details on how the Novoglan cream can work for you.
Can the Novoglan Gentle Foreskin Stretcher™ treat frenulum breve?
Frenulum Breve is a condition in which the elastic tissue that helps contract the prepuce over the glans is short and restricts the movement of the foreskin. In some cases, Frenulum Breve may be associated with Phimosis. However, the Novoglan Gentle Foreskin Stretcher™ is not designed to treat Frenulum Breve. If you believe you have Frenulum Breve, or a similar condition, please consult your local medical practitioner for treatment advice.
Why should I treat Phimosis?
Some men may tolerate living with a tight foreskin for many years—even though it can be painful and can interfere with urination and sexual activity. There are three important reasons to treat a tight foreskin. First—relieving a tight foreskin will increase sensitivity and improve arousal during sexual intercourse. Second—treatment virtually eliminates the chance of infection and irritation under the foreskin. Third—treatment almost entirely eliminates the possibility of Phimosis becoming Paraphimosis. Paraphimosis is a very serious condition and you could permanently lose all sensation in your penis or even lose your penis altogether.
What are the other methods for treating Phimosis?
There are two ways to treat Phimosis. The first is removal of the foreskin by surgery—commonly known as an adult circumcision. Not surprisingly, many men do not want to undergo this painful and often expensive surgery, and lose their foreskin. The second treatment method is to stretch the foreskin using the fingers; this method is not reliable, could result in tearing, and may not be effective at all in more severe cases of Phimosis.
The Novoglan Gentle Foreskin Stretcher™ provides a gentle, regular, even, effective way to stretch your foreskin, in the privacy of your own home. The Novoglan Gentle Foreskin Stretcher™ is easy to use and is effective in treating all degrees of Phimosis.
Will using the Novoglan Gentle Foreskin Stretcher™ prevent delayed ejaculation?
Yes, this is quite possible. Relieving a tight foreskin with the Gentle Foreskin Stretcher improves the sensitivity of the penis, by allowing the foreskin to be retracted and exposing the glans (head) of the penis. This can help alleviate delayed ejaculation.
Will using the Novoglan Gentle Foreskin Stretcher™ affect penis size?
No, Phimosis is not associated with penis size. Alleviating a tight foreskin will not alter the size or shape of the penis.
Can children use the Novoglan Gentle Foreskin Stretcher™?
Novoglan Foreskin Tissue Expander is indicated for stretching an adult male foreskin. Some Doctors will prescribe Novoglan to stretch or open a phimotic foreskin in a child. However, because we do not have an indication we do not recommend that males under the age of 18 years use the Novoglan Gentle Foreskin Stretcher™. Boys and young men are still developing, and full retractability of the foreskin may not be achieved until late childhood or early adulthood. To learn more about foreskin development, please visit our Phimosis page. If you are still concerned about your child, please consult your local medical practitioner. It is not unlawful for a Doctor to prescribe Novoglan, However, we do not market the product for use in Children.
What if I am not sure if I have Phimosis?
If you are not sure you have Phimosis, we recommend that you contact your local medical practitioner. You can also ask your local medical practitioner about the the Novoglan Gentle Foreskin Tissue Expander™.
